Well we made it! Jordan and I arrived in Anchorage on Friday April 22nd.
The trip went pretty well, Jordan slept during take off for about 40 minutes, then I had to entertain her for about 2 hours, but she was really good, only a couple of short melt downs. She fell asleep again probably 45 minutes or an hour before we landed. She slept probably 30 minutes and was awoken by the violent turbulence we were experiencing. Man I was terrified! Jordan was scared too but I couldn't show her I was, so I had to keep her calm and pretend like we were having fun going over the "bumpy bumps". I kept telling her she was doing so good and it would be over soon, haha. I was also praying at the same time - OUT LOUD! I think I prayed more during that 10 minutes than I have in a year! But it sure helped. After we landed the people sitting around us told Jordan she had a good mommy because I even helped keep them calm, haha.
Friday was an exhausting day due to our sleep schedules being all messed up. I finally got Jordan to go down for a nap in bed with me around 2:30. My friend Kathy stopped by to visit for a bit and then we had dinner and hung out. Friday night's sleep was AWESOME! We slept for at least 10 hours. It was great.
We spent the rest of the weekend getting unpacked and organized. Did some grocery shopping to get stocked up on some of the basics. Jordan has enjoyed all the new scenery both indoors and outdoors. There is so much for her to explore and she is good at finding it all! We found a park nearby (which is right next to my old house) and it was perfect for Jordan - she had a great time. So I am sure we will visit there pretty often. We still haven't seen a moose dangit!
Well that's all for now - more to come later this week.
Love to all from Jordan and Drisana.
